Andy Warhol and Jamie Wyeth's 'Portraits of Each Other' was an exhibition held in 1976 at the Brandywine River Museum in Pennsylvania. The exhibition highlighted the various differences between James Wyeth and Andy Warhol because, although they were contemporaries, the two artists represented different movements of the avant-garde. In his works, Wyeth celebrated the revival of realism in American art and Warhol, on the other hand, is considered a leading icon of the Pop Art movement whose works exemplify the mass-production of consumer goods that defused the personal symbolism of abstract expressionism. - Smithsonian Library -
