FOUR ENGLISH ARMORIAL PLATES
19TH CENTURY

An English dessert plate with a shaped rim and a blue celeste border, decorated to the centre with the arms of Prince Doria Pamphili-Landi impaling those of Lady Mary Talbot, daughter of the Earl of Shrewsbury. Unmarked. c.1838.
A Flight, Barr & Barr plate with a gadrooned rim and a turquoise ground, bearing the crests and mottoes of Buller and Yarde of Devon. John Yarde-Buller married Elizabeth Pattern in 1823. Impressed mark. c.1825. A Grainger Worcester plate with a finely moulded and gilt rococo shaped rim, a blue ground, and decorated with the arms and crests of the Herbert family of Wilton House, Earls of Pembroke. c.1850. A Chamberlain's Worcester plate with a moulded and gilt rococo shaped rim and a light blue ground, the centre decorated with the crest of Dalrymple and the motto: "Moneo et Munio". Printed and impressed marks together with Registration Diamond for 1846.
