19TH CENTURY
Modelled as a young gondolier, standing on the prow of a gondola, holding a removable oar in one hand, and holding a torch aloft in the opposite hand; the lamp with frosted glass flamiform shade. The whole painted in a rich colour palette, and raised on a cylindrical pedestal.

Condition consistent with age, having restorations and repairs including to the raised arm. There are numerous chips and fractures to the gesso including the face, torso, arms, below the knees, gondolier, and plinth, most of which have been repainted along with paddle and lamp. The purse is loose, all three bun feet have been repaired. Wiring is untested.
