A MARKWICK MARKHAM MOONPHASE EARLY 18TH CENTURY SILVER PAIR CASED WATCH
Gilt finished verge escapement, chain fusee, pierced and scroll worked balance cock, worm and wheel regulator. Pierced and decorated pillars. Movement signed 'Markwick, London'. The engraved silver dial with recessed moonphase, Roman numerals, single blued steel hand signed 'Markham'. Plain silver inner case stamped VF59. The red tortoiseshell outer case with intricate silver pique work featuring a scene of a house with surround borders of various symbols. Retailers: S. Freeman Watch and Clockmaker, Swinderby.

The pique work has some silver losses, the tortoiseshell veneer has some cracking. Some discolouration and pitting on the moon phase.
