The rectangular top above a drop front writing surface enclosing an interior fitted with drawers, pigeon holes and storage compartments, the lower section with an arrangement of four long cockbeaded drawers with brass drop ring handles, the whole with walnut veneer and cross banded inlay, raised on bracket supports

Cracks and lifting to the veneer particularly on the drop front, losses to veneer and deterioration to the finish over all. Dents, and scratches overall, the right side panel has a horizontal split running from top to bottom and a less severe crack to the left side. The interior has stains, veneer losses, dents and scratches.
