The rising top revealing sprigged wallpaper lined interior, on square tapering legs with shaped stretchers painted to the top with a band of foliage and flowers and to the frieze with entrelac and beads in gilt on a black ground.

In very good structural condition with charming timeworn patination to ebonised and gilt surfaces, evidence of antique repair to the top front lip.
