Dionne Canzano is a mid-career artist whose figurative work embodies veils of blended colour and detailed pastel pencil lines. Her work explores subjects close to her heart—such as Elvis Presley, wild and domestic animals—and possess a dream-like quality with an edge. Lot 15 Elvis is a tender ode to The King; one of many many dedications of the 20th-century cultural icon the artist has created over the years. Canzano has worked at Arts Project Australia since 2000 and presented her first self-titled solo exhibition at Arts Project Australia in 2003, followed by her second solo in 2011. Her work has been featured in numerous group exhibitions and is held in private collections throughout Australia.
