Chris Sahyoun is an emerging painter who applies various mediums, including greylead pencil and charcoal over his acrylic paintings creating intriguing landscapes. He has exhibited infrequently and, when looking at his 2019 artwork Not titled, one may wonder why. This stunning abstract acrylic and gouache painting deftly illustrates his view from the second-storey window of Arts Project's Northcote studio. The delicate mark-making over the bold acrylic background caught our eye, allowing the viewers' imagination to run free. Sahyoun has worked in at Arts Project since 2012 and has exhibited in group exhibitions in Melbourne.
