Jacob Cartelli is an emerging artist working in acrylic and pencil on paper and canvas. His work is characterised by formations of juxtaposed colour, the formal elements fusing together to from a thick, rich, saturated field. His auction piece demonstrates the spontaneity behind the expressive brushstrokes, the sweeping gestural marks creating an impulse-driven composition. His work is held in private collections in Australia.
