Matthew Gove is an emerging artist who works across a variety of mediums. His ceramic sculptures reveal an appetite for dark and humorous subject matter and are striking in scale and glaze technique. His auction artwork Hot Air Balloon touches on an element of his practice that is imbued with playful narratives—the balloon poised ready and waiting for the adventure to begin. Matthew Gove has been working in the Arts Project studio since 2012.  He has exhibited widely in group exhibitions and was the winner of the Darebin Art Prize in 2013.
