LATE 19TH CENTURY
Modelled in the Gothic revival style, the black leather upholstered back surmounted by a carved monogram and three fleur de lys finials, the roll over arms and contoured seat raised on turned legs and stretchers. This chair is one of 120 used for 70 years by the Melbourne Stock Exchange, until the close of call trading at that exchange in December 1961

Light to moderate dents, stains and scratches, a natural 20cm split running down back of the seat, deterioration to finish overall, some minor wear to the leather, nails to pediment indicates repair work
