AN 18TH CENTURY ENGLISH EBONISED BRACKET CLOCK
BY EDWARD ALDRIDGE, CIRCA 1715

The brass plate with a silvered dial with a subsidary dial, signed 'Edw Aldridge fecit' to front and back plate, all fitted in an ebonised case with an inverted bell top and brass carrying handle.
The verge fusee with pull repeat, time only with faux pendulum and faux secondary key hole.

44.5cm total height, 25cm wide, 20cm deep

Sold for $4,200

Not recently timed or serviced, however pull repeat working well, movement orginal and dial. Key included, dents, scratches and cracks to the case (possibly a later case), the lock not working, moulding of the interior has a loss to the lower right corner, loss to the inside of the back door.
