This elegant still life by Samantha Ashdown possesses an endearing quality, the subject matter a haphazard collection of quirky, everyday objects.

Samantha Ashdown is an emerging artist working in printmaking, collage, pastel and gouache. She explores a variety of subject matter within her practice including still life, landscapes, portraiture and urban scenes. Her strikingly balanced compositions and bold line-work of soft colours result in elegant imagery.

Ashdown has worked at Arts Project Australia since 2000 and has exhibited nationally. Public collections include the National Gallery of Victoria. Her work is also held in national private collections.
