This piece is a fine example of Coomb's practice. Sculptural in form, the twisted piping is a striking graphic, gracefully woven and elegant in its composition.

Spenser Coombe is an emerging artist working predominantly with gouache and pencil on paper. Often incorporating maze-like grids and visual puns, the imagery Coombe regularly returns to is laced with humour, which is reflected in the quirky titles of the works.

Coombe has worked at Arts Project Australia since 2014. He has exhibited in group exhibitions in Melbourne and his work is held in private collections.
