Feilding's work Untitled is distinguished by the application of crisp linework against a soft background, the triangular and circular forms marking the black bleed in the centre of the piece.
Sandra Fielding's intuitive drawings and paintings traverse both abstract and figurative styles and possess expressive mark-making, fluidic shapes and movement inspired by natural landscapes. She utilises a range of mediums in her practice, including acrylic, gouache, coloured pencils and dry pastels, which she applies abstractly to create spontaneous and confident works that are playful and full of energy.
Fielding has worked intermittently at Arts Project Australia since 1995. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Melbourne over the last 25 years, and her work is held in private collections throughout Australia.
