Untitled evidences Paul Quick's aptitude for capturing emotion with minimal linework.
Paul Quick is an emerging figurative artist who works with dry pastel, acrylic, ink and paint pens, creating striking works on paper. His practice has similar qualities to neo-expressionism in the seemingly rough handling of materials resulting in expressive mark-making—with the inclusion of some erratic text—that come together to form highly gestural portraits and intriguing compositions.
Quick has been an artist at Arts Project Australia since 2018 and has exhibited in Arts Project Australia's annual group exhibitions. His work is held in private collections.
