Lot 281

generally in very good, well-patinated condition, consistent with age; the hinged top, enclosing a small compartment within the cornice, is warped (bowed upwards front to back); the glass to the right-hand door is broken and largely missing; the cross-grain mouldings around the glazing is very slightly lifting in places (typical of old cross-grain mouldings); there is a slight shrinkage crack (not open) to the veneer on the left side; and the glazed upper section is not presently secured to the lower part (simply requires replacement of screws).
