Summers didn't exploit the potential of the cariable curve that he produced in this chair. The thin aircraft plywood starts off tight were glued to the cut-out ply forming the shape of the seat. Where there is no structure however, the chair is is left to its own devices and fans toward the top.

Estimate $10,000 - $15,000

Sold for $10,000

Surface scratches and marks to the entire body of chair. There is a small 8 cm repair to the edge of the chair where it joins near the seat. Original fabric has stains and losses. Significant tears to the front of seat, all consistent with age and use. The chair is structurally sound and in original condition.
