This is a close copy, made circa 1600, after a chiaroscuro woodcut made by Andrea Andreani circa 1598 (Bartsch XII.101.11.6), the sixth sheet in Andreani's series after Andrea Mantegna's monumental Triumphs of Caesar paintings, which have been in the Royal Collection at Hampton Court since 1630.
