Generally in very good condition consistent with age and handling, with little appreciable wear.

There is a light dent to the flat top of the cover and some minor (not obvious) undulation in the line of the flat edge of the cover.

Some unevenness and slight roughness around the edges and interior side of the lower terminal of the handle suggests the possibility of later work in this area.
