The brooch is in excellent condition.
At the time of appraising the gemstones are in excellent condition.
The claws are straight with some evidence of wear commensurate with age of the item, the claws are in position and hold the gemstones securely.
The openwork is even and designed.
The turquoise cabochon gemstones are in very good condition devoid of chips, crazing and abrasions. The turquoise stones are secure in the settings.
The marquise shaped sapphires are in good condition. Due to wear over time some contain small chips on the table edge, visible through a jeweller's looupe. The sapphires are secure in the settings.
The diamonds are in good condition. Due to age, one diamond has a small chip on the girdle, the remainder are devoid of chips and abrasions.
The pin on the brooch is in good working order and the push clasp mechanism is sturdy and works as designed.
