A LATE GEORGIAN BRASS-INLAID ROSEWOOD-CASED MANTEL CLOCK

The double fusee movement with anchor escapement striking on eight bells, the black and white-japanned Roman numeral dial within a glazed brass bezel in an upright case of architectural design with brass grilles to the sides and a glazed door to the back enclosing the signed brass backplate, the front of the case inlaid with brass in trailing foliate designs, with brass finials and feet
57.5cm high, 32.5cm wide, 20cm deep

Repairs evident overall
Wear, repairs and cracks to veneer in places
One finial bent and another broken off (piece present)
Scratches to dial visible in places
Two cracks to glass panel (right hand side)

The movement:
Appears to be complete, currently not working and not recently serviced or timed.
Large bell for hour striking present
Rear wind, cross over chime movement (strikes only on the hour, and chimes on quarter hours)
Not door keys present
Winder present
