Baluster-shaped on a circular foot, the handle modelled as an encircling serpent, the finial of the cover as a butterfly, the body decorated with engraved palmettes and oval reserves to both sides enclosing Classical Greek figure groups, a reserve below the spout engraved 'Regimental / Hunt Cup / Scots Greys / 1870 / Won by Mr Rowes / "Quicksilver"'
