The exterior in Vuitton monogram canvas protected with nailed leather to all edges and with a branded leather carrying handle to the top (detached but present), the front with Louis Vuitton patent lock, the lockplate engraved with Vuitton's London and Paris addresses (149 New Bond Street and 1 rue Scribe) and number 011351, the fabric-lined interior with Vuitton's gilt-lettered red leather label with addresses as above and serial number, the top with traces of the painted initials of a former owner
