A CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE 'BALSAM PEAR' BOWL
DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD

Very finely painted in famille rose enamels to the exterior with a "balsam pear" melon scrolling up a bamboo branch, with a butterfly hovering gently above the flowers, the decoration continuing into the interior. With a six-character mark of Daoguang in underglaze blue to the base.
