LATE EDO (1603-1868) OR MEIJI PERIOD (1868-1912), 19TH CENTURY
Ink and pigments on a silver leaf ground, depicting a 17th century Dutch trading ship in Japanese waters, together with a fitted Japanese wooden box mounted to the top with a silver plaque reading "1960-1964: Ten afscheid aangeboden aan Harer Majesteits Ambassadeur en Mevrouw de Voogd door de staf van de Ambassade te Tokio, het Consulaat - Generaal te Kobe, het Consulaat te Yokohama en het Consulaat te Seoul. Tokio, December 1964". Also with a fitted carry bag.

Excellent condition with vibrant colours and silver leaf is in good condition.
The plaque on the accompanying wooden box had come loose but would just need reglueing.
