Born 1976 in the USA, Brian Corr [http://www.briancorrglass.com] is an
Australian citizen who attained his PhD from ANU and is currently a teaching Professor at Toyama Glass Institute Japan.
Corr is a highly successful artist with an international exhibition profile and also a significant prize winner of Australia's major glass prizes - the Tom Malone Prize and the Ranamok Prize amongst others.
His works are held in the collections of the NGA, the Art Gallery of WA, NU,
Hamilton Art Gallery, GlazenHuis, Belgium and Asian City Public Art collection South Korea, as well as significant national and international private collections. The image above shows this major sculpture 'Timshel' in the foyer of the iconic 101 Collins building where it has been on loan from the artist.
