A 17TH CENTURY CORNELIUS HARBART OPEN FACED KEY WIND SILVER PAIR CASED VERGE WATCH
Gilt finished verge movement, chain fusee, pierced and engraved scroll decorated balance cock, worm and wheel set-up regulator, tulip pillars, white enamel dial with black Roman numerals, inner minute divisions, black steel hands. Plain inner silver case, the outer case of red tortoiseshell with intricate pique work in silver. The movement signed 'Cornelius Harbart, London Bridge'.

The tortoiseshell outer case has minor cracking, some losses of silver pique work, three discs appear to be replacements by the thumb piece. The white enamel dial with two chips and two cracks. There is a repair to the inside of the watch case.
