A LARGE CONTINENTAL GILT METAL QUARTER STRIKING OPEN FACED PAIR CASED WATCH
With day, date, hour subsidiary second hand. The unsigned chain fusse movement engraved plate with pierced and engraved balance cock. White enamel dial, the gilt and silvered inner case with pierced and engraved decoration. The associated outer gilt and silvered metal case decorated with dark blue enamel and a central classical scene of a maiden in a classical landscape with a border of seed pearls.

Outer case, 6.5cm diameter, in very good condition, with no damage to enamels or beading or metal. Watch, 5.5cm diameter x 2.7cm height, in very good condition, with very minor age-expected wear to gold surfaces. Enamel face has fine fractures. Overall, in good condition with no visible signs of repair.
