Lot 96
Flowers, Paradise Garden c.1970
mixed media on paper
signed lower right: nolan
29 x 24.5cm
Estimate $2,000 - $3,000
The ripolin pigment is not consistent throughout the work. The oil in the paint has likely prevented the pigment from adhering in numerous places and so has the appearance of "losses" in specific areas, mostly where the brush would have last left the paper surface thereby leaving behind the oil. A small loss in the form of a line seen on the far-right hand side. Overall size: 54 x 45cm
