The paper appears to have further discolouration beyond its inherent colour. There is a crease and possible tear in the upper right measuring approximately 7cm in length. The mount shows brown staining upper right, cause unknown. This work has not been inspected out of its frame. The frame is likely original and measures 40 x 47.5cm.

In 1937, Traill travelled to England to stay with a wartime friend at her farm in Alnwich, Northumberland. It was here that she produced a notable amount of works depicting her surroundings.
