QING DYNASTY (1644-1912), 19TH CENTURY
The vases of baluster form with twin lion mask and ring handles and domed lids surmounted by guardian lions. Each decorated in fencai enamels and gilding with shaped reserves to the front and back, one containing a scene of a historical battle, the other of a court scene, against a ground of scrolling fruits and flowers.
Each 63cm high, 26cm diameter
Estimate $1,500 - $2,500
Minor wear to the gilding on each, minor chipping or fritting to the glaze on the top of the lion finials. Otherwise no visible faults or damage.
