1st: canvas relined verso (not modern), overall surface dirt, craquelure including to outline of stretcher on right-hand side, some chips of paint loss visible at to and left edge beneath frame, examined under UV light
2nd (dated verso): overall surface dirt, craquelure including to outline of stretcher, two pinholes one to the left of the tip of cows nose and one to upper right-hand edge, examined under UV light
