Impressive ovoid form vase with fine-gauge silver wire, gold wire, and coloured enamels to a bright blue base of summer flowers including chrysanthemums and daisies, the neck decorated with lozenges and foot with a band of repeating petals, signed on the underside with mark of Hayashi Kodenji and silver rim on underside

four minute cracks to the pale green enamel in the diaper pattern around the mouthrim. a very small area of pitting to the enamel (production flaw) to one of the leaves toward the bottom of the front design.
