Lot 222
The exterior of the bowl is finely carved with three rows of overlapping lotus petals extending from the foot rim. The bowl is covered overall with an olive-green glaze.
Two very similar bowls dated to 10th century, see Regina Krahl, Chinese Ceramics From the Meiyingtang Collection, vol., Three (11), London, 2006, pl. 1476 & 1477.
