Circa 1920, the sculpture by Dominique Alonzo
The light within a dome-shaped glass shade decorated with stylised floral and circular designs and a fringe of glass bead pendants raised as a torch held aloft by a female figure in Art Deco Classical dress standing on a quatrefoil base, on a low variegated green marble plinth, cast with incised signature 'Alonzo' above the rear hem of the dress
54cm high, the shade 22cm diameter
Estimate $700 - $1,000
Wear to gilding in places, most notably to the base
Small losses to the top of the domed shade
The frame supporting the shade sustaining some damage, will require resetting to straighten it (shade currently sits to the left)
Wired at a later point, including a modern fitting for the globe
Not tested- should be inspected by a qualified electrician before use
