A FINE CHINESE WHITE JADE DOUBLE-GOURD FORM "SEA CLIFF ADDING LONGEVITY" PLAQUE, QING DYNASTY (1644 - 1911)
One side of the plaque is carved with an immortal traversing the sea upon a pine tree toward a pavilion, accompanied by cranes, deer, and a phoenix, all emblematic of longevity and auspiciousness. The reverse side is finely carved with a poem titled Cangbo lou, followed by a two-character "Wen Wan" mark.
The plaque is with a very fine carved zitan and boxwood stand.
