The vase is decorated to the compressed sides with large multi-coloured chrysanthemums in various stages of bloom springing up from a ground with morning glories, lingzhi, and other small blooms, all before angular rocky outcrops repeated on both sides, with applied gilt-bronze stylised dragon handles flanking the cylindrical neck.
A large example without Qianlong mark, see Sotheby's London, 10/5/2017, lot 168; also see another vase, sold at Bonhams London, 3/3/2010, lot 249.
37cm high
Estimate $2,000 - $3,000
There are two extremely minor shallow depressions to the body, one on each side, barely visible. Otherwise, the vase is in overall good condition.
