There is discolouration present, seen predominantly to the lower section of the paper. There is a paper loss to the lower left of the sheet, measuring 2mm. The work has been lightly adhered to a backing piece of paper with signs of discolouration and potential acid burn. It would be our advice to have the work reframed. Frame size measuring 26.5 x 22cm.

Butler, R. & Deutscher, C., A Survey of Australian Relief Prints 1900-1950, Deutscher Galleries, Melbourne, 1978, p. 64 (illustrated)
Helen Ogilvie began linocut printing after purchasing a book by the esteemed Claude Flight, illustrating prints that were 'daringly modern' by Australian standards at the time. Ogilvie's first linocut prints were often hand coloured and depicting subject matter familiar to her, including farm animals, Australian flora and fauna.
