Muromachi/Momoyama period, late 16th century, shown in the guise of a serene monk with shaved head, his right hand previously carrying Shakujo (staff) now lacking, and in his left a Tama or Buddhist jewel, seated on a gold lacquered lotus pedestal (later Edo addition c.1800).
Height 17cm, 34cm including pedestal
