The bowl decorated in enamels with gilt details with the interior depicting figural scenes of children, warriors, courtiers, women and a procession with brocade design surrounds. The exterior with complimentary overlapping scenes with ornate surrounds. The base signed 'Dai Nihon teikoku dai-itto bijutsu kinran Satsuma, Genroku yonen [...] kore o saku' and 'Yokohama Hododa kore o seisu'.

The bowl presents in good overall condition however does have some loss to gilding in areas. Under a UV light there appears to have been no restorations.
