The hinged top with applied frieze depicting a reclining putti nestled amongst foliate border, opening to reveal a collection of small implements, the shaped mottled cream and brown agate body with applied gilding to the base. Old cut diamond set thumb piece.

One implement missing. Crack to lower part of one side panel. Front and back panels of lid re-stuck with one misaligned. Small chip to right edge of front panel.
