Circa 1880

Rectangular, with pronounced corners inlaid with fine marquetry bands and stringing to the fold over top, opening to reveal an inlaid playing surface for chess and backgammon, above a single full width drawer for storage and with a further storage compartment housing a pleated work, raised on fine tapering and turned legs, porcelain castors, 64 x 70.5 x 43 cm.
