An Edwardian satinwood desk by Waring & Gillow Ltd
Impressed manufacturer's stamp

The rectangular top surmounted by two gallery edged drawers, above two frieze drawers and a further two short drawers to either side, each drawer with kingwood crossbanding and ebony string inlay, raised on delicate square tapering legs with brass caps and castors, stamped to the top edge of the right frieze drawer, 121 x 95 x 53 cm.

Provenance: purchased Christie's Melbourne, 2nd May 1988.
