An exhibiton quality pair of 19th century Sevres style ormolu mounted porcelain lidded vases
Late 19th century

Each of baluster form, with multiple panels and gilt moulded highlights on a bleu-nouveau ground, the cover tapered and rising to a lobed and tasselled knop, the body beginning with a collar of Greek key motifs above applied laurel styled swags and below encircling the girth a series of twelve miniature portraits depicting French royal court dignitaries, the first vase the court of Henri IV and the second vase the court of Louis XIII, each set upon squared ormolu bases, 73.5cm height.
