A French ormolu mounted and brass inlaid boulle bracket clock
The dial marked A. Leroy, A. Paris, circa 1880

The waisted ormolu and veneer brass inlaid mounted case with glazed front door and side panels contained within the twelve-piece cartouche enamel dial and subsidiary seconds dial above a brass chequered interior floor all surmounted by a winged herald, set with four quarter bell chime complete with matching wall bracket, signed to the backplate Theodore de Mirre, Paris, the clock 113cm high; the bracket 36 cm high.

Provenance: From the Bruce Rutherford & Associates Melbourne auction of The Joseph Lowy Collection, 15th May 1986, sold as lot 154. This lot known as the Kitchener Clock to Mr. Lowy, being purchased from the Lord Kitchener collection.
