A fine quality French gilt wood pier mirror and console
19th century

The mirror, rectangular with dimpled corners to top, carved to the surround with repeated bay leaves within beaded borders, the whole surmounted by a detailed crest of a crossed quiver of arrows and liberty torch amongst further floral and foliate garlands; the console of a tapering rectangular form set with a pale salmon coloured breche marble top, raised upon a carved and pierced skirt and long cabriole legs terminating in knopped feet, (crack to marble top) the mirror 101.5 x 163 cm; the console 126 x 81 x 42cm .
