Provenance: F.W Forster Jeweller, Collingwood, Melbourne

Thence by descent private collection, Melbourne.

Note: Forster (The Jeweller) was a family owned jewellery business operated in the Melbourne suburb of Collingwood from circa 1880 to 1959. The regulator long case clock presented here served as the 'shop clock' at Forster's and may or may not have been part of the stock in trade of the business. It is not known when the clock was acquired by the Forster family, however its current owner is the granddaughter of the late Frederick William Forster.
