Scenically patterned with gilt figural images on a black lacquered ground, the central rectangular compartment with lift up lid, opening to reveal a fitted interior with folding writing slope and below a slide out tray, flanked to each side by a pair of open reeded tubular compartments with lift up lids, all raised on a twin turned pedestal base on claw feet (basket missing from slide out tray) 65 x 76.5 x 56 cm.
