A Chinese carved and reticulated ivory tusk
Late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), 19th century
Fashioned from a segmented tusk, carved in low relief displaying a stylised scene of heaven and earth with blossoming trees , birds and bamboo leading up to two dragons chasing pearls amongst clouds all staged within a fine reticulated ground , (some losses to reticulation and cracks), 21.5cm high.
